Structural Features
Thick-walled Design: In order to withstand high pressure, the flange disc of a high-pressure flange is usually thicker than that of an ordinary flange to provide sufficient strength and rigidity and prevent deformation or rupture under high pressure.
Reinforcing Ribs: Some high-pressure flanges are equipped with reinforcing ribs on the flange disc to further enhance the bearing capacity of the flange and improve its deformation resistance.
High-precision Machining: The connecting surfaces, bolt holes and other parts of high-pressure flanges need to be machined with high precision to ensure the sealing performance and reliability of the connection.
Connection Methods
Bolt Connection: Two high-pressure flanges are closely connected together through high-strength bolts. The number and specifications of the bolts are determined according to the size and pressure rating of the flanges to ensure the tightness of the connection.
Welding Connection: In some cases, high-pressure flanges are connected to pipelines or equipment by welding. This connection method can provide higher strength and sealing performance, but the welding process has higher requirements and requires professional welding technology and equipment.
Advantages

Disadvantages
High Cost: Due to its thick-walled design, high-strength materials and high-precision machining requirements, the manufacturing cost of high-pressure flanges is relatively high.
Difficulty in Installation and Disassembly: High-pressure flanges are heavy, with a large number of bolts and high requirements for tightening force. Therefore, special tools and equipment are required for installation and disassembly, and the operation is relatively difficult.
