Large forged pipe is usually made by forging process. Its material involves a lot, the common are 20MnMo 35CrMo 16Mn 09MnNiD and so on, the length can be less than 6000. Caliber DN800 or less.

First of all, the appropriate raw material billet is selected and heated to achieve the appropriate forging temperature range, generally in a specific high temperature range, which can effectively reduce the deformation resistance of the metal and improve its plasticity.

Then, using large forging equipment, such as ten thousand tons hydraulic press, the billet is upset and drawn several times, and the required pipe shape is gradually shaped.

In this process, the grain structure inside the metal is optimized, so that it has better mechanical properties, such as strength and toughness can be significantly improved.

In addition, the forging process can also eliminate some defects in the raw materials, such as porosity, porosity, etc., to ensure the quality reliability of the forged pipe.

 "Large" means that it has a considerable outside diameter, inside diameter and wall thickness. The outer diameter can reach several meters, and the inner diameter can also have a larger size to adapt to the large flow of medium transportation.

The thickness of the pipe wall depends on the working conditions such as the pressure and temperature under which it is subjected. In high pressure environments, the pipe wall will be thickened accordingly to ensure sufficient pressure bearing capacity and prevent pipeline rupture from causing safety accidents.
