Specification Parameters
Nominal Diameter: The range is usually from DN15 to DN200 or even larger, covering the connection requirements of various pipeline sizes. For example, a socket welding flange with a nominal diameter of DN15 is suitable for pipelines with an outer diameter of about 21.3mm, while a flange with a nominal diameter of DN200 corresponds to a pipeline with an outer diameter of 219.1mm.
Nominal Pressure: Common ones include different grades such as PN2.0MPa, PN5.0MPa, and PN10.0MPa. A higher nominal pressure indicates that the flange can withstand greater internal pressure and is suitable for high-pressure pipeline systems. For example, in some petrochemical plants, socket welding flanges with a nominal pressure of PN10.0MPa and above may be used.
Outer Diameter of the Flange, Diameter of the Bolt Hole Center Circle, Quantity and Diameter of Bolt Holes: These dimensions vary according to different nominal diameters and nominal pressures. Taking a socket welding flange with a nominal diameter of DN15 and a nominal pressure of PN2.0MPa as an example, its outer diameter of the flange may be 90mm, the diameter of the bolt hole center circle is 60.5mm, and there are 4 bolt holes with a diameter of 16mm.
Material Selection
Carbon Steel: Such as A105 steel, it has good strength and toughness, and the price is relatively low. It is suitable for general industrial pipeline systems, such as water supply and drainage, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and other fields.
